We start with a free meet and greet, at home, with no pressure to interact. Your pet decides how close they want to come.
I read body language rather than rushing an introduction, and I never force contact. Progress is measured in small signs: a softer face, a loose body, a pet who chooses to come and sit nearby.
You receive a short update after every visit, so you always know how your animal is doing.
Yes, in most cases. Reactive and fearful dogs are the ones I work with most. We talk through the triggers first, then plan walks and visits around them, using quiet routes and quiet times of day.
It means I read what your pet is telling me and respond to it, rather than working to a fixed routine. Slow greetings, no forced handling, and an exit route always available. If your animal wants space, they get space.
We meet at your home for around thirty minutes, free of charge. You show me the routine, the food, the hiding places and the things that worry your pet. I stay low and still, and let them approach in their own time.
Yes. Nervous cats often do far better with visits at home than with a cattery, and I am happy to work with cats who hide for the first few days.
I am fully insured for pet care. I can give oral medication that has been prescribed by your vet, as long as we go through the instructions together beforehand.
